The rebellious bird appears amongst flowers evoking the enchanted flower with which Carmen bewitches Don Jose. Red crystals symbolize love and passion. A red heart represents “L’amour” while a red “blood” droplet symbolizes the violent conclusion of Carmen and Don Jose’s affair.
