Shenika John Jordan - Soprano, Giannetta Undestudy

Shenika John Jordan is a native of Brooklyn, New York, and a first-generation American of West Indian descent. She has been the featured soloist for events including the Sphinx Conference (Detroit, MI), I.C.Y.O.L.A. Summer Music Concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall (Los Angeles, CA), and Kaprálová Festival (Ann Arbor, MI). Her international performance highlights include the Lisbon Summer Music Festival (Portugal), as well as solo work in Paris (France), London (United Kingdom), Toronto (Canada), and Bermuda. Ms. John Jordan is the recipient of the Tallahassee Music Guild Award (2017). She has also received national awards from the George Shirley Voice Competition (2017 and 2016) and Harlem Opera Theatre (2016).

Ms. John Jordan has a master’s degree in voice performance from Florida State University, where she also served as a graduate instructor in the musical theatre department. She received her BM in Voice Performance w/ Performing Arts Management minor at the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre, and Dance.

An ambitious artist, indeed, Shenika John Jordan puts her heart and soul into each performance and is passionate about uplifting and inspiring people from all walks of life. She is an arts advocate who seeks to use music as a catalyst for positive change in her surrounding communities!
